Feedback from models and artists who have particpated in Dr Sketchy's Anti-art School events...

Cathy Simpson - artist

"I was going to start off by saying that a Dr Sketchy's event must be the most fun you can have with your clothes on, but then remembered that the acts actually DON'T! (Or at least, not very many). For great entertainment, meeting great people and fantastic quick-on-the-draw sketching practice, Dr Sketchy's is unbeatable for  music, dance, song, art, it's all there. If you haven't been yet, a wondrous experience awaits you!"

Mysti Vine - comedienne, performer and model

"I've had the pleasure of performing for Dr. Sketchy's Birmingham. It's a fantastic Saturday afternoon which abounds with creativity, good people and lots of laughs from born compère Liberty Pink, not to mention the endless pool of talented performers. Candee and her crew make everyone feel welcome and put on an excellent show..."

Steve Pledger - artist, model and props manager

"I came as a mere freeloader and hanger-on, with my pencils. Then I was a gopher. Then I made props. Then I made films. Then I dressed up as a girl and performed. Then I posed. Then I posed in just gold pants. Then I married the compere. And I always fail to do the lights properly. But every time, without exception, Dr. Sketchy's Birmingham is simply the most wonderful, hilarious, creative, vibrant, welcoming, thrilling experience ever."

Sukie White - artist and regular attender

"I must admit a degree of trepidation the first time I attended Dr Sketchy's Birmingham... but the organisers, artists and fellow guests are warm and welcoming, in a fantastic venue. Dr Sketchy's is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon - with entertainment; and lovely models to draw as well - I couldn't want for anything more."

Mike White - photographer and regular attender

"As a non-painter I was grateful to be allowed to take a few photographs of the poses. The performers are all beautiful and talented. I look forward to Dr Sketchy because it's such a fun and joyful occasion. Everyone's friendly and we have a great time. Looking forward to the next!"

"On Saturday I attended my first Dr Sketchy's Burlesque/Life drawing event, at the Victoria pub in Birmingham. What a brilliant concept! I had a fab time, the artistes were a delight, the atmosphere convivial and the assembled artists all did wonderful sketches. My good chum, fellow BICS organiser and top cartoonist Andy Baker won a prize for his sketch of the gorgeous Liberty Pink, to my surprise, and delight I won one for my quick sketch of the ravishing Mr Mistress, special thanks to Candee herself for such a memorable and enjoyable afternoon, I really can't praise all concerned enough!!! Cannot wait for the next one."
